A literature monument in Yokosuka-city

 

This is a literature monument  in the small park near my house. A part of “蜜柑 Mikan🍊” that is famous short novel written by Ryunosuke Akutagawa is written on this monument.

The stage of this novel is a passenger’s car of the Yokosuka Line around 100 year ago and this park is along Yokosuka Line. At that time, train was locomotive.

The story is depicted so beautiful scene of one day in the train. I read it when I was middle school student, even now I remember clearly this beautiful scene.
